I assure you there was no luck in losing 20 pounds and starting to tone up. I didn’t just wake up one day and have this happen all of a sudden. There was no magic pill.
There was no luck in waking up 3 hours before work to get a sweat in.
There was no luck in declining a night out partying so I could work out.
There was no luck when I stopped eating fast food.
There was no luck when my grocery shopping and meal planning became smarter.
There is no luck in fitness. If you want it, you have to work for it.
But in the end, it will always be worth it.
Today is definitely a rest day. My quads hurt so bad I can honestly not walk down the stairs without my legs wanting to give out. Ahhh FEEL THE BURN! So I’m skipping the gym today and gonna try some exercises at home instead, concentrating mainly on my upper body. Pushups, planks, tricep dips off the couch, crunches, etc.
Anybody have some favorite upper body exercises that you can do at home?
Also, I’m back down to where I was a week ago, at 201.6. I will surpass 200 this time and not screw it up like I did last week.
Was almost to my first goal (200 lbs.) then gained two pounds :( I had a couple days of no exercise and I basically just pigged the fuck out on food and alcohol lol. Now I’ve lost 1 of those, hoping by next week I’ll have surpassed my first goal. Kind of upset with myself because I was so close a week ago, and now I’m in the same spot again. But O WELL! My workout was good today and I feel great. I’m gonna try and not weigh until next week sometime.
